So Schneider help put me through trucking school. When I had my first ever phone interview with them they said I would be going to Gary,in for orientation because that is closest to me. The day I started class around a month ago they switched it to Greenbay,wi. Then a week after back to Gary and it's been like that until today. Today this other recruiter that is not my main recruiter called me today and said now i'm going back to green bay last minute because orientation starts tuesday. At this point i'm furious because of all this crap they put me through. So once the lady told me that I kinda snapped and told her no I want to attend orientation in gary since its been like that this whole time while I was in school. So apparently i'll find out more tomorrow. If they were to still send me to greenbay and I didnt want to go through Schneider anymore I know I would have to pay back the price they paid for the schooling. But my main question is will this hurt me in the long run even if I tell other companies what they did to me? And also would it be worth leaving? I'm willing to take any answers on what to do. Kinda do/don't wanna stay with them after all this.

You should view the runaround as good training for how they'll treat you as a driver.

Why do you care where you're going for orientation? Normally they chuck you on a bus to the terminal and when you are done you leave in a truck.

They're trying to put you in a truck.

That's why you went through their training, right?

I was with Schneider. They’re supposed to send you to the OC closest to you. Which is closer? I’d rather run out of Gary because Gary is a lot bigger then the Green Bay OC. I hated going there

We're you polite but firm, or did you curse and mouth off?

As at least one other person mentioned, they were probably constantly changing your orientation location based on truck availability.

The fact that they bounced things around so much is definitely annoying, but as others have mentioned, the same thing will happen from time to time while you are working. Go get that load! No the other load! Aw, sorry, go back and get the first load.

Where you get the truck isn't where you will call your home terminal, I don't think. It's just where you will pick up a truck after orientation.

    You won't like my opinion.

    Grow up.

They put money into you already, they want you to produce for them but there is a need for you to go through their process as they are just brain numb robots in the office.

So let them ping pong you a couple times, if they are paying for it, just let it go.

I was called out on this by one of my drivers who just said i was mean, but Jamal I'm not editing it.

I will add this - these megas are like governments. They have stupid policies and play games with some with intent but most of the time there is no intent, just stupidity.

Play the game, get clear of your debt and do the best you can.

    Happy now Jamal?
