All you really need is your license, fuel card, truck stop cards, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss.

    The rest is a bonus.

Yeah, my T-shirt drawer looks like basic training in San Diego.

Two weeks + worth of clothes in a mesh popup laundry hamper that I stuff into the big cabinet.

Shower bag that holds three days worth of clothes (when I go home) plus toiletries.

    Laundry bag for dirty clothes.

Another bag for everything else (like a simple medical kit) plus extra toiletries.

I sleep on top of two sleeping bags with two blankets. No sheets. Doesn't matter which way the truck tilts when I park, I just throw the pillow onto the other end as needed.

It took me a couple years to really get it down to a system, but I've mostly been living in a truck for ten years and it works for me. I can grab three bags and go home for a week, and I can move from one truck to another in about three hours, including tools and food. Everyone has their own preferences. You'll figure yours out if you do it long enough.

Real truckers take their change of clothes and shower shoes in a plastic grocery bag, and the shaving kit.

Dirty clothes go back in said bag.

Not all this Gucci non fat soy trucking stuff.

Real truckers live in the truck, not some fancy Casa del OM with a spare truck parked in the driveway and a moon rock yard that requires maintenance. And what is a shaving kit?

Uh-oh! It's getting thick now, time to put your mud puddle stomping boots on brothers! I'm the guy in the far back corner running the betting pool! ;)
