Depending on the outcome of the ticket, you may or may not have anything to report, but typically, no you don’t have to report anything to your home state. Your employer will need to be informed if you do get a citation that sticks.

What are they trying to do to you for not stopping at a mandatory brake check area?

I am wondering fine, fine and points, mandatory appearance etc.

 

Missing a scale house sign I understand.

Blowing a brake check is just ignorant or lazy.

Needs to pay more attention or it’ll be a short career.

Old hand told me when I started - Read every sign.

 

Correct me if I’m wrong, but every brake check I’ve ever seen or been to is at the top of some hill you just crawled up so it’s not like you’re even going that fast to miss the sign to begin with.

 

The last time I pulled into a mandatory brake check area (which was the last time I encountered one), three trucks blew past me without stopping while I was there checking my brakes.

 

Curious as to why you think MANDATORY break check didn’t apply to you? It isn’t there because Tennessee had extra $ and needed to make a few signs, that is a hell of a good hill... was always told you can go down a mountain SLOW 1,000 times but can only go down a mountain TOO FAST ONCE
Willing to bet will just be a fine and a lawyer will probably cost you more then the fine
