I like this design, you swing full force for their neck, if you overshoot, and smack them with the handle in the side of the neck, that alone should put them down otherwise you just pull the ax toward you and slice half their neck away.
As you may know, Maryland stands to take your weapon if you dared to use same in a home defense scenario even if the Jury declines to indict or charge you. I have been following Maryland a while because her laws have changed a little bit. Unfortunately you are right there is no agreement with Arkansas or any other state vis a vis Maryland. Even if there was, I still cannot carry my arms into Maryland because they maintain a list of banned weapons. One of which happens to be my rail gun and it's ammunition which is the same as used by MARSOC and the ammunition is surplus that meets FBI SAAMI rules. *(Spelling.) Ya know.. We live in these United States. But I propose a theory to everyone that we are no longer a proper Union of 50 states as one with Weapons law. We have become a disorganized place with some states criminalizing things that Arkansas says it's ok for me to have for example. And other states some think Arkansas is a bit loose compared to others. Remember, we were a occupied state after the civil war for about 15 years. Federal troops were in little rock and other areas daily to stop the ongoing handgun battles there. In 1870 and two other specific years there was no federal elections for president at all here in Arkansas. None. We were a occupied people going into Reconstruction era. Now... there were laws passed where Jim Crow laws stood. Among other things. These laws have managed to stand until the early 2000's and finally began to fall one by one rather rapidly as we moved towards being a open carry lawful state now. A small number of counties in Arkansas Law Enforcement have been making public very specific warnings in the papers last year. Open carry is legal yes. But these few counties will attempt to intercept EVERYONE and ANYONE acting as a open carry anywhere they are spotted. We have been experiencing gang crime that is pretty much daily. Last week I drove to a appointment in Saline County. I passed a particular gas station on the interstate called Mabelvale road. As luck would have it two 16 year olds with battle rifles robbed the place a hour and half before we passed through. We were armed ourselves but I would not want to fight rifles on principle but being trained via Israel and also here in Arkansas for terrorists etc, I would not worry too much about hopped up kids with weapons they don't understand. We are not prey. But many people insist on being prey and get robbed. With that said, there was another Gas station attendent yesterday who got aggressive and went and shot a person who was trespassing. Instead of the Trespasser being hauled to jail as normal, this turned into a murder when attendant went outside and attacked the person. So attendant forfeited his life and freedom for at least 20 years as what is usual for murder one. Not everyone who carries a gun understands the laws ranging from brandishing to simple assaults to agg assults through the manslaughters and murders to capital murder. It can turn so easily. There was a Oklahoma Pharmacy Business owner who was attacked by a boy with a gun for robbery armed. He fired a shot at the boy and hit him. The boy ran outside dying. to this point it was what I call "A Good Shoot" within the law now... the Pharmacy owner ran outside and fire 5 more rounds making himself a murderer now. It's no longer a proper defense of home, livelhood and lands it easily turned into a proper murder case for which he got sent away. People need to learn the laws in the state they live in. And to get insurance such as United States Conceal Carry Association, USCCA. Last month they notified me that they now cover for ANY Self defense. NOT just a gun. So if mad mad goes for you and you use fist and feet to defend yourself then you can activate the plan and protect yourself financially to a certain point. Self defense is self defense. Not just a gun anymore with this Organization. I typed enough tonight. I look forward to learning more from you all here on this thread. It's been wonderful.
Home defense where I am is rather tricky, there are walls in which rounds will penetrate. One has oxygen and two have bodies beyond them of people who probably will be hurt by the attacker coming through my door. I also have armor for that purpose it wont take a few moments to throw it on and go after the bad guy coming through the door. Even if I don;t have time for that I'll go out with my boots on as it were. I used to carry a Remington 870 with slug and what we called Shot and shell. Meaning a large .70 caliber ball backed by a group of 6 to 9 .40 caliber solid bearing balls so that when the little balls reach the bad guy it will hurt him in a spread. The big one gets there at the same time and will make a hole temporarily large enough to insert your arm. That's plenty good for shotgun work. Then there is a rifle work. A reproduction of a winchester late 1800's with modern barrel for today's ammuntion and a large pistol caliber that will do a good job it's a .500 I think based on the large bore handgun of a similar caliber. Large enough to also take any game in America for hunting if need be. There was a program long ago to take deer with a specific purpose to have processor use that deer to feed homeless and hungry. Venison in winter cooked in skillet is awesome fuel for you. Try it sometime.
I keep a can of this next to me in the truck - works very well up to 30' and will stop anyone at any moment due to the sheer pain it causes. ~$30 on amazon: I also keep a spring loaded baton on my belt all day, every day while on the road. It's saved my butt a couple of times.
I carried a buck 8 inch special on a holster next to the wallet. Open carried that thing onto the docks everywhere for slicing pallets No one cared. NYC in particular. Defense of the truck was blade based. But there was also a trick in which a 4 inch strap was binded to the inside doors so that no one would get in. And I think there was certain trucks where we wanted the air intake for the cab to be inaccessable so that they cannot knock you out with ether spray. Another thought was for a time the mid 90's trucks of a certain type would easily be opened with a fist punch in a certain spot. Engineers fixed that in a couple years so the straps inside the cab was not necessary anymore. I like the bear spray idea very much. But I prefer not to live in bear country. that 255 grain in .45 super flat nose round should take care of any bears. I just prefer not to hae to deal with them.
KMG365 is right. Some people NEED that pain to explode on you. I happen to be one of them. I use Ow as fuel to feed the explosion of violence.
