I agree, as many times as he GOALed, blind siding it in there would have been less walking.
What would you do?

I would request a different dock door.

I wonder if he tried asking for a different door. Just tell them that door is blocked or something. As much time as he spent fighting it, he might as well have spent that time sitting and waiting for another door to open up. I know, nobody likes to wait, but I would rather wait a bit than embarrass myself like that, then have my shenanigans plastered all over YouTube.

I was at that place a few weeks ago. What makes that place worse is the idiot drivers who park along the wall. I had to back in between two trucks but there's a lot of wiggle room. That guy had his tandems to far back.
The ground over there is really sticky not sure why. Seem like a training ground for the white volvo's from Elk Grove. -
I sure as heck would have dropped my trailer and got out of the way, to help the guy out and protect my own truck. There are a lot of jerks in trucks these days.

I would've just walked into the office and asked for a different door if there was one available or told them I'd just have to wait until a driver pulled out. I'm not going to risk a claim on my insurance over a load and a badly designed dock. I don't have many problems backing anymore but there are a few times I've requested a different door because of the amount of space I had.
I know the truck better than anybody if I tell a person it isn't going to fit or go in the hole it ain't going to fit or go in the whole I've backed enough trailers into enough holes to know what will go and what won't go.
