I get paid by the hour. They can take 16 hours to repair it, more money for me. :)

Vicegrips is a must have. You need them for those hard to pull levers on the trailers for the tandems.More times then not I would pull the lever to move tandoms and the lever wouldn't stay in place so I would hold it in place with the visegrips and it worked like a charm.

Patty, can you explain how that works with vise grips and sliding stubborn trailer tandems?

You know the handle you pull and sometimes the handle doesn't lock in one of those slots because maybe the the trailer is all rusted out? Here's what you do.pull the handle out then put the visevrips on the lever towards the middle while the lever is pulled out clamp the visegrips tightly on the lever..That prevents the lever from moving.Just make sure the pin is free from the tandem holes so when you move the trailer it doesn't get stuck..

When I was a slip seat driver I carried 2 cage bolts, a box end wrench to fit it, and a vise grip wrench. Our mechanic did not leave the cage bolt on the air chamber, so I carried my own.
