I feel like I've heard that 500k miles is when they pull a truck from the fleet, but I can't remember when or where I heard that. I'm in a 2015 Prostar and just hit 350k yesterday and it's got me curious how long I'll be in this truck. Does anyone know for sure?
When does Swift pull company trucks from fleet?

Worst thing swift ever did to me.
Apparently all you have to do is take hometime for 4 days and you get a new truck.
Imagine the turnover for a company to have to do that...
Quit Swift. Get a new truck + a raise and start being treated like a human.sealevel Thanks this. -
About 500 thousand is the norm when they turn trucks back.every terminal see.s to be different, but I took 4 days off and kept the same truck.
I was out of jurupa terminal.
Another way to get another truck is if it breaks down and it will take shop too long to fix, you get another truck.
Another one is to wreck it. Course I am just kidding. Lok -
That's about normal (500K). That is unless it is a problem child ie always in shop status or breaking down.

Thanks for giving a REAL response lol. I'm out of Decatur, GA and I have taken 4 days a few times myself so I think there's probably a little more to that other story.
I get good miles, get treated with respect and have had no complaints that werent resolved immediately. For every 1 driver that bashes the company there are plenty that have great experiences.A21CAV Thanks this. -

It depends it's any where from 375k to 500k
Depending on the lease. Swift does not buy the Majority of the company trucks you see. They lease them. -
I've had problem trucks and they stay on the road until the lease is up.
It isn't really mileage as much as it is time.
4 years, give or take a couple months.
I had a truck until around 530k, and it was overdue by a few months. The shop guys were surprised that it was still on the road.
But it was a good truck, with few problems. I got it brand new so I know its history, and I was sorry to let it go. -
Yeah it's whenever the lease is up. I had one that I had to turn in around 400k miles if I remember correctly, only to get a newer truck with similar miles.
I doubt there's more to the other dude's story. I worked for them too and enjoyed my experience--moved on for better money but no hard feelings. It depends alot on the terminal and DM. I never parked my truck at a terminal for more than 3 days so I never had to worry about it. -
