I am still at this small fuel station... No load assignment today... With my "hometime" coming this weekend, I wonder if DSP is having some difficulty trying to find something that will take me closer to my hometime location... or maybe she will tell me to go a little earlier... it's about 220 miles...
Actually I don't need to go earlier... I just need to be there next week for doctors' appointments and other personal things...
And my "real home" being this truck, I am fine where ever I am... :yes2557: ...as long as I have ice in the cooler and all my food, which I do.
And I think I will be the ONLY truck here tonight... I hope this place is safe.... cause this fuel station will close for the night and the exit being closed, there might be no other trucks here... The street ends right here and some vehicles have to turn around here and go back... This place is kinda deserted... Oh well... whatever will be, will be...

Yesterday was kind of a blur.
To a construction sight near Hobby Airport two rolls of blueprints to A&E Graphics on Richmond.
ASCO in Jacintoport to get 4 crates 412# then T&B Master Logistics for docs and stickers then to Cargolux.
    Then 290 & 610 area for a 55# carton for SDV.
    Then 8 & 290 for a 150# pallet for SDV.
Then try to get a 20# carton at FMC. The carton looked ready to go. But something wrong with paperwork and they wouldn't give it to me.
Then to SDV to drop the other two.
Then to Altus Logistics for 4 cartons someone had forgotten in the back of his truck when he dropped about 5K at DHL. How they didn't catch the problem is a question for the ages.

I'm kind of happy it's Thursday. Not sure I could take 3 or more days left this week.

And... as I suspected... no load today either... I am in a kinda of "middle of nowhere" for loads... So... I just relaxed in the truck all day... and before leaving the office, DSP sent me msg telling me to go "home" cause after spending all day calling all the brokers' agents she knows, couldn't get me a load...
But I decided to leave around 2 am so will not deal with Atlanta rush hr traffic and will be at the hotel when their office opens...
Unfortunately hotel has only one available room this time on the second floor... :biggrin_25510: And with ALL the luggage that I carry, plus heavy cooler and printer and little table, and this and that... it's going to be a REAL PAIN ON MY BACK to go up the stairs.... :biggrin_25510: Will have to be extra careful not to damage my back even more than what already is...

    Al. Roper Thanks this.

I'm so very sorry Rocks. But the way my legs have been acting you simply MUST be in better shape than I am!
#1 1.25 hours (I knew it wasn't the right number) trying to get a crate at Panalpina.
it was a 521# crate. Then it was my choice. Drop that first or go to Cameron on w Little York for an 85# pallet. So went to get pallet.
    Dropped at SDV. Ate lunch
Headed for A&E Graphics to get the rolls I took there yesterday and take them back where I got them.
Was told I was going to pick up Hazmat and go back up by the Airport.
But was texted to pick up at the house in Katy a carton 4# for SDV.
On the way to SDV he sent pick up Altus for Cathay Pacific.
So went by and grabbed Altus then went to drop the carton at SDV.
Then went to Cathay Pacific and even at 3 cartons 62# it took 30 minutes to get out.
Got home a wee bit prior to 19:00
Dinner T.V. and mere minutes from being asleep.

    Rocks Thanks this.
