Where Are You....continues........

Happy as a clam in mud! Saw my lady last night/this morning and now I'm at my aunt's with my pup snuggled up alongside, just like old times! Plus some Chicago pizza earlier; living large, I tell ya!

 

You keep on them, and checking in on their progress. Oh, could I tell a joke right now.......the men would hate. Ha Ha Ha, I better keep it to myself and behave.

 

Some where in western IL on my way to pick up corn gluten pellets in Clinton, IA.

Now I am curious about the joke... heheheh.....

 

So... I wish truck would be ready today..... wishful thinking... The "progress" so far, they removed the defective part and opened the box of the new part....






And found out they will need to order another part... the DPF...

And all this trouble and expensive parts to keep EPA happy....

So, I checked out of the hotel cause I was hoping truck would be ready today.... and I am back at Freightliner... but they say here it may be tomorrow evening... maybe... who knows...

And I am not sure I will check in another hotel or not... Cause it's a pain on my poor achy back to keep carrying all my stuff back and forth...
I have a cooler, a box with cookware, stove, one small bag and one duffle bag, my laptop, and a couple more small bags... So... I would rather just stay here and sleep on the recliner again... Only problem is... this place is very crowded today... no empty recliners and folks are competing for any available seat...
Besides that, I don't have much ice in my cooler.... need more ice but no place around to get it.... In any case, I am postponing my decision for now....

 

Ah, Rocks, so sorry they are taking their time getting your truck up and going. Please be very careful about carrying all that stuff back and forth. You certainly don't want to injure your back just when they get your truck ready. Keep us updated on the progress, Sweet Lady. ~Hugs~

 

I had a slightly better day. I pick up trucked from just off I10 inside of 610 to outside of BW8 on I10. From Pasadena to Deer Park. And from Mykawa roadsouth of 610 to off 290 almost to Hwy 6.

Then got the trailer and took two pallets of Hazmat from just off 290 and Hwy 6 to Dayton, TX. That one promised to pay pretty good.

From Dayton it was easier to just drag the trailer home rather than run back to 59 and 8 to drop it.

 

Thanks Teddy.... So, I decided to check in another hotel.... but this one was not a good pick Only $ 7.75 cheaper than the last one but much MUCH worse... The strong smell in the room is sickening... :smt104 it comes from this filthy carpet... It reminds me of that nasty hotel in OK...




The telephone has NO wire to the wall.... So, can't use it.... No light in the sink area.... well, I can live with that.... Only 3 or so uninteresting cable channels... no FOX News no Food Channel.... So, I am not watching TV tonight...



This smell is AWFUL! Guess I'll leave early tomorrow and will never come back here... They don't even have an ice machine.... will have to buy ice at the TA before I leave...
