Absolutely Teddy_bear... :yes2557: you know, I was sitting on the driver's chair here, doing my paper log (to match my elog), enjoying the nice breeze... and a gentleman walked by my window and asked, "Would you like something cold to drink?" I replied, "No, but thank you..." :biggrin_25519: And then he said, "I can't understand how you endure this heat..." :biggrin_25513: :biggrin_2559: And I replied, "Sir, I am from Brasil...." And he said, "Ah, then probably this is cold for you..." LOL... :biggrin_2559: Told him my thermometer was showing 84 F and that was just PERFECT! :yes2557: He shook his head in disbelief... "However", I said, "winter is a KILLER!" :biggrin_2552: And he smiled...

It APPEARS that the new HOS won't hurt me a bit. I regularly do plenty of time on line one in a day. And if 168 hours is exactly 7 days and begins at the start of the last reset then I'll still be getting one each weekend.

I however can see how the new rules could REALLY mess up an OTR!

It begins (the 168 hours) at the time you begin your next shift with a fresh 70. That is why the local guys, and especially the night crew, will be getting dinged.

Off Friday evening 1900 > 34 complete Sunday 0500 > your shift begins Monday 0darkthirty....

Company makes us log. If the new rules somehow screw me up from making money then perhaps I'll just fly under the radar.
