After I deliver this load on Tuesday, will pick up another one almost 8 hrs south of here and then go from OR to AL... The miles are good... but the place I will deliver...I can't believe it... I hope receiver has some appropriate place to unload the truck... Otherwise, I will need assistance from police to block streets and to escort me so I can get there and out of there... Will have to drive in the middle of two way streets to avoid the branches, make turns from opposite lanes on to incoming traffic... Will have to park in the middle of street to have truck unloaded.... This is not an event load... It's a CH Robinson load.
Seems I will deliver to a small community public park in the middle of a busy and very tiny residential and commercial neighborhood of some small town in AL...
The streets are very, VERY narrow, very tight turns, lots of trees, wires, cars both ways and more cars parked on both sides of the streets...
Definitely not a place for any big truck... I don't think a big truck can go there... If they want me to go there, I will ask for assistance from co. from police, whatever... It's unbelievable...
Where Are You....continues........

Friday it was Roland who sent the Tuesday message.
Today someone else sent I suppose as an answer to my response....
"Pick up freight. Come to office get check cash check and deliver."
I sent as long as check cashes. Which is NOT a sure thing.
Then I gota poorly spelled text rehasing "get freight get check cash check"
I will indeed hook the trailer Tuesday. I will in fact pick up freight. And I will go the office. After that all bets are off.Rocks Thanks this. -
Days off today and tomorrow. Slept in until 7am today, beats the usual up at 4am routine. Not too sure of what to do these days off. Will probably just laze around and take it easy. Was considering buying a new dodge pick-up this week , but may just think on it a bit more yet.
Was looking around at the Mack dealer last Sunday when I was waiting for the truck to get fixed and seen these brand new Mack trucks rigged up and ready to go haul fluid. Got a few pictures of one rigged with a centrifugal pump for water hauling but they did have a couple with gear pumps for oil rigged up ready to go as well. The temptation to get back in my own truck is hard to fight when looking at these!Rocks Thanks this. -
Kw9... save your money for now... you have the spirit of an entrepreneur
and you will eventually get your own truck and your own business again...
I can relate to you... not knowing what to do with your days off... I did what I wanted to do today, walked to the receiver and back... made a few more international calls, prepared some salad, ate, another phone call... and now I am wondering... If I had more room in this truck to carry a bicycle, I would ride it to next truck stop about 9 miles from here and take a shower...
Oh yes... this is where I am... at that truck stop... took this pic from the top of a little hill nearby...
There's absolutely nothing else here... other than the truck stop and a hotel... and the place where I will deliver on Tuesday...

I think will add some sweet peas and some broccoli to the soup I cooked yesterday and will have a nice meal now...

Try as I may Rocks, I just can't do tofu...
teddy_bear6506, 'olhand and Rocks Thank this. -
I wasn't even thinking about the wonderful Thai restaurant only a couple hundred yards from that Kittery ME TS. Lots of Rocks food there
FloTheWaitress and Rocks Thank this. -
Hey Flo, I don't really like tofu either... stuff has no flavor...
But I believe it has some protein... so I add it to my dishes...
Just had my meal here... and had to lay down and rest for 5 mins after that wonderful big bowl...
Will cook something else later to have with the brown rice that I cooked earlier. I don't like cooking at all.... But if I don't, will starve to death...
And I think only I am able to eat my own food.... Cause it's very "flat" according to American taste... and no meat at all... very little oil... nothing fried...
FloTheWaitress Thanks this. -
So... I called a co. driver, fellow friend of mine and asked him to Google map the location I may have to deliver my next load and asked his opinion... and he said he doesn't see any problem with it...
REALLY? Ohhh... give me a break...
