Congrats 48!!
Got out to do my pre-trip in the rain this morning and had a marker light on top of the cab out. Climb up on top of the engine and the screw will not budge.
Pull over to Wingfoot and sit for over 2 hours to get in and now they can't get it out either.
Should've been on the road over 3 hours ago. Going to make today's 600 miles challenging as I will now hit KC at rush hour and the 5 parking spaces at the receiver will be taken.
On the bright side, I will be in Eaton country Friday, picking up in Wichita and Huchtinson.48Packard and teddy_bear6506 Thank this. -
Was in such a hurry to get from SDV to World Trade Distribution Houston that I never noticed no booking number on the paperwork. So here I stll am waiting for info.

At another rest area in PA because Fuel On truck stop was already packed when I got there and I will not take my 10 hr break on an ramp.
Now that my former load planner doesn't work in the company any more, and new load planner is on vacation, I keep getting these last minute trips, and have no time to contact customers and verify parking in their premisses, hrs of operation... and my load assignments come with no p/up appointment time...And I have been experiencing the disasters of no pre planning...
Yesterday I wasted 30 driving min... Today wasted over 1 driving hr. Back on those paper log days, this could be easily fixed but with this elog...Logan76 Thanks this. -
Getting unloaded in Louisville KY. Made it all the way through DOT inspection orgasm week without any notice by the 'tards.
On an even brighter note, I am nearly finished with The Load From Satan's Abode. -
I feel for you Rocks. Don't have Elogs yet, but the peoplenet tracker doesn't allow for fudging much.
Do I feel good....One of our real experienced drivers got stuck, and I didn't. I pulled info the same drive as he, but I saw that I HAD TO back out, he must have tried to turn around. G.O.A.L.
I'm at the Ampride t/s in Perkins, OK, while he's stuck in the mud..

What a day. Took over 5 hours to get my light fixed so just got to my receiver. My phone was acting up so I shut it off and tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't and it was extremely hot. Problem is, that is my alarm clock and there is no way I'm getting up at 05:30 on my own after the last few days I've had. I think I can set up an alarm on my computer. I sure hope it works.
Oh, and made it all the way through Safety Blitz until I'm 40 miles from my destination and got inspected by KDOT and had a light out on my trailer that was burning brightly this morning on my pre-trip.
It is a double LED and they are both out so it must be a wiring issue. I am so pissed after how careful I've been making sure everything is right each day.Rocks, Dave 1960, Giggles the Original and 1 other person Thank this. -
Hey Zen, you're also in Bear country.
Hoping to be at work by 0600 and maybe get some of my work caught up. With luck, I'll be out at 1600. It hasn't been a bad week with the boss being gone, it's just that everybody waits until after 1300 to start calling with all their issues, and at that point, I'm by myself, and can only do so many things at one time. I really believe their needs to be a trip planner in the office until 1600, also, but that's just my .01 cents worth (I don't even rate .02 cents
Keep it safe y'all. Remember, most people may look down their noses at you as being "just a truck driver" but they forget all the things they wouldn't have without you. I'd like to say thank you to each of you that do what you do, and to your families who are left at home to deal with the issues there while you're gone. Thank you..........you have my respect, appreciation, and admiration. ~Hugs~Zen Trucker Thanks this. -
