Everything went well this morning... :yes2557: Called receiver at 7 am and they told me they would unload me right away... It took them a little over one hr to get me empty... and by then, I had already gotten my reload info from dsp, checked my route and was good to go... :yes2557: Dropped empty at a shipper in IL, then bobtail to co. warehouse in IN..
Passed by Chicago area twice today... :biggrin_2552: first time traffic wasn't too bad and I was bobtail... Grabbed an empty at co. warehouse and headed back to IL for my pick up tomorrow morning. I could have left warehouse one hr so later... but not sure that would have helped to avoid traffic jam... I figured I wasted about 30 mins in traffic... Oh well...

Now I am conveniently parked at shipper's dock in IL... My DSP asked them if I could park there overnight and they agreed... :yes2557:

I got caught by Greg and picked up a 13XX# pallet at Texas International Oilfield Tools and took to SDV.
Then I went to the office. The mechanic was putting my truck back together! MIGHT get it back Wednesday! Got my check and it was far from stellar! But it did cash.
Picked up a crate 21# Haz and two cartons 32# Haz. at SDV
Took the crate to Air France and the cartons to DGM.
Then ran up to Conroe for two pallets 2100# Haz for Southwest Paint near downtown.
Left Conroe 4:15. SWP closes 4:30 but I was told they'd wait for me.
Wasn't so. Dispatch said we would not have picked up had we known it and that he'll hit them pretty hard for me toting it all the way home and back in the morning.
Got home 7:20 dinner, some TV. Checked two other sites and GOOD NIGHT!

    Rocks Thanks this.

My normal 7 day shift is over but I put in for extra work. They have work for me tomorrow and I will maybe try for another extra day Wednesday as well but I think I will wait and see how I'm feeling later tomorrow before asking. This week I hauled 65 loads in 7 days so I'm thinking by tomorrow afternoon I just might be wanting to have a couple days off instead of working through to my next shift. But I also don't want to miss out on the work while it's available, it's been very up and down lately. Busy one week then slow the next.

I think I mentioned that I brought work home last night.
I got to the drop at 08:00 and was done at 08:15.
At 09:15 he sent pick up at a place in a less than fine part of Houston. He did not send dims or weight. It turned out to be three cartons at 93#.
Then to SDV to drop. I picked up Murphy. 2 cartons at 82#. Dropped at Air France.
Then I ran out to Huffmeister Rd a bit north of 290 for a 352# pallet going to SDV.
I picked up two crates (the cartons I took yesterday were wrong) for DGM.
Just as I was about to send empty he sends pick up at British Air 3pc 1437# going off BW8 and 290. But then he calls and says pick up SDV going to Delta first.
Took until 4:30 to get out of SDV. As I arrived Delta he calls and says instead of picking up British and taking it home why not finish dropping Delta and go home and do it in the morning. I was hip to that!

Rolled in 6:25 and we had Chicken Enchiladas for dinner.
Watched Price is Right and now Let's Make a Deal is on.

Hey Kw9's... not sure what your plans are... but if it were me, I would go with the flow... work hard while there's a lot of work and rest when it's not so busy... :biggrin_25519:

Was loaded at 6 am today, dropped loaded trailer at co. warehouse in TN... rushed to Pilot nearby, cleaned windows and windshield, took a shower, washed a few clothes in the sink, came back to warehouse, hooked to empty, cooked some meal, and will go to bed soon.... should be in bed already... :biggrin_2552: Will leave at 3 am... heading to IN to pick up another load and will bring it back here.... :yes2557: Gotta go now...

Those donuts sure do look good, Rocks, but I'm not a DD fan. I prefer the donuts that are made by the "Mom n Pop" shops. But none of that matters, as I've not been eating sweets since I started working with my personal trainer. Every day she makes me feel better with my work outs. I feel better about me.
