Where Are You....continues........

The TA in Columbia, NJ? Hey! I was there yesterday at 16:00. There were many empty spots in the back... as usual... those are the last ones to fill up. Parked for 20 mins and then got my load assignment and took off... headed west, then parked at a rest area on I-81 PA cause Fuel ON was packed.
Arrived at shipper at 7 am today. Was the first one. Shipper was caught by surprise... They were not expecting me and didn't have anything ready cause my company had not called to schedule... So shipper contacted main office an then rushed and took care of me
Delivered my load and now parked bobtail only at this parking lot next to a Walmart store somewhere up state NY. Does anybody know where this is?

Ok... not long ago, during Memorial day weekend I spent 3 days at a strip mall (not a strip club) in DE cause there was no load and WM DC didn't have any store load for me. So, I got $ 50.00 layover pay... I wonder if this weekend will be the same again... My load wasn't scheduled yet... shipper said it may be good for Tuesday... If WM DC here doesn't have any store load for me on Sat. Sun and Mon... it will be deja vu... all over again... Hopefully, load planner will be back from vacation next week and I will get some decent miles... sheesh....

now Patty and I just ate at Truck World restaurant in Hubbard Ohio

I know how you feel man... Same thing happened to me almost 2 yrs ago. And I am soooooo careful with my inspections, so diligent and do it every time I park. But one of my headlights went out in less than one yr driving... I had no way of knowing cause it was noon, sun was bright shinning on my windshield... But hwy patrol pulled me over... I asked him to let me replace it but he said NO! Gave me warning... I showed him my CSA book, said that was going to give me 18 points for something that I had no way of knowing and it wasn't affecting safety at all and I was going to pick up trailer in less than 2 hrs and would be able to see it and fix it.... on top of everything, company deducted $25.00 off my pay check for the "dirty inspection"... OOOHHHH! I was mad for several days... And now I turn my lights off if it's not required during the day despite of what it says on my trailer, "We drive with lights on for safety"... Keep your head up man...
