That is something similiar to whats going on....

while I was assisting BW9 yesterday, I noticed a couple times at low RPM's that my battery light was coming on.... But at higher RPM's it was charging.

I idled last night & didn't bump my rpm's up. I woke up, got dressed, sat in the driver's seat, & the ###### died.

    OUCH.
After you get it going and get the batterys charged up take all the HOT posts off and have the battery checked with a load tester. A dead/shorted cell can cause a alt to burn out.

Redd - this just plain sucks.

Ok... didn't you just replace an alternator not too long ago? If so, there's something eating them up. Pete's right, a load test may be a good idea.

Nope. I've replaced the air compressor, both egr valves, camshaft, 4 injector lifters, fan clutch solenoid, radiator, & the fan blade. No alternator.

Truck is running now. I have the idle set at 1000 rpm's & it is charging.

Chain law is still in effect.......

I'm gonna do my log book & then go toss some jewelry around. This should be fun. Driving 11 years & have never been in the position to toss chains.

Lay them on the ground spread out wide and long. Back over them, pull them to the top of the tire and using a bungy to hold them on the top hook'em up. well thats the way I did it, at best 10~15 mins I coulld have the rear axle chained up. Just be glad you aint pulling a van, with a flat you got room to work with them.

There is stuff moving just not alot. The problem now is things seem to be slowing down a bit and alot of the charity trucking companies are coming around. It was all screwed up yesterday.

The weather was f'in HORRID around Music City last night.

Austin is a dish best served at 3am.

    In Effingham at the Peelot.

I pull whatever pos trailer I am assigned. If it is really bad it goes to TA or Petro before it goes much farther. One of my fellow PAM drivers messed up the front set of tandems on this one. It tracks a wee bit right.....
