She's on the phone with me and chuckled when I read her that....she's having some severe issues with her shoulder. Can't even be on the computer for 15 minutes without her arm becoming extremely painfull and her hand going numb......she has a follow up orthepedic appointment this Friday and then goes to see pain management about both her back/hip, and shoulder at the end of the month.......thanks for asking :biggrin_25514:

See there? Ya took all the fun out of it! Could've had a guessing game going....like ....hiding under your bunk.... or in the Bahamas ....or in trouble... could've been fun!

    Regarding Down Home Diner.

I paid $12.70 for a lemonade and sirloin tips with three sides and a dinner roll. My choice of three sides was a baked potato, green beans and a cup of beef noodle soup. I am completely satisfied with portion sizes, but it's not as big as you'd get from an old-style truck stop. The sirloin tips were marinated in orange juice, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. They had a faint citrus zing to them. Noticeable but not overpowering. Everything needed salt. But, that's okay because not everybody wants to eat a lot of salt. There are a lot of locals in there. Mostly of retirement age. It's clean, but definitely has been around a while. I noted 100mph tape on some of the booth benches. The wait staff is friendly, act like they are happy to see you and don't make you wait forever for service. Mine kept calling me "Dear." Kinda funny, considering it was coming from a gal almost my age, but I'm okay with it. They didn't hire cutesy girls. They hire people who are good at what they do.

I went into the C-Store afterwards, to buy a little bottle of milk for later. The store is very clean, well lit and the manager, who was running the till, was cordial, efficient and, again, seemingly happy to see me.

It's located at exit 9 off I-25, Cheyenne on the east side of the freeway, north side of the surface road. The sign only says "Exxon...Fuel Stop"

It was better than Denny's or T/A. I will most likely be back.

    I'm in Canada...again.
My fuel stop directions were: Petro-Pass, Mississauga, ON. That's it, no exit number or anything. Good thing it was about 5 miles down the road after you exit the highway or I would have NEVER found it! Oh wait, I didn't find it. I had to stop and ask another Company driver if he knew where it was...after trying to find it on my own for about 20 minutes. Grrrrrr...

Now I'm in Woodstock at the TA. I think this is the only TA in Ontario. Their buffet was better than average, only 3 items on it were fried! They had these pre-made strawberry shortcake parfaits that were ah-maze-ing!

I'll have a #### good year when I'm not in the north east. But I'm not on the mileage pay plan either.

Back in my days when I wore the company hat oppose to the O/O hat today, I would fix what ever I had to at the time then call'em and tell'em that I fixed there crap. Most of the time I got better than average loads.

    Thats because its Peru.:biggrin_255:
