dave west memphis is a nice area. and larado is amazing you should learn to enjoy yourself and take advantage of the fine places pam leaves you with time to explore.I never get to stop and explore the areas.. no time. I wish my carrier gave me time to sit and explore areas like yours does.

west memphis pro: walmart with truck parking.
Laredo: heb, ross, best buy all the same parking spot its like heaven on earth.

you got to learn to chill out and cut back on the coffee man

it was funny cause while i was getting unloaded, the weather alert on the cobra went off, and it scared me sorta kinda:biggrin_25524:, and it was talkin about hail and what not, i called b.s and just ignore it. but then it happened, no hail, but the winds and rain was pretty bad, the good news was that it cooled everything down and washed some of the ammonia smell out of the parking lot.

i saw on the discovery channel where the goverment gave a grant to a college to find out how flies navigate. my wife was on the edge of the couch watching it, i was just amazed that over a million bucks was spent on a creature that swarms towards 5h1t.

guess me once being an o/o helped me slip past that.

Right now at ex11 on I35 IA/MN border sittin in the loves for a 10hr, did a split, went to shipper to pick up (turned out to be drop n' hook) and then shot on down here for a shower. Knight tries to have us fuel at terminals as much as possible, so when ever i do get to fuel at a Loves or a Pilot/Flyin J (dont have accounts with TA/Petro) i have to use my showers before they vanish. Headed to TN in the afternoon, Streets n' Trips say i'll only make it to the Pilot in Hayti, MO.. oh well, i dont start my first of four stops until Tuesday so i'll be ok.

North Upper BFE. Will pick up a 4-stop load that will drop me exactly where I want to be to see fireworks over the lake. Last time I watched fireworks over this particular lake was nearly 25 years ago.

For the 2nd time ever, I ventured away from the truck stops and down a few exits to take in some of Laredo's shopping opportunities. Last time I parked and went to the Target. Last night I met two friends for dinner near the Walmart. We ate at Texas Roadhouse and it was yummy. :)

Laredo has a Fuddruckers right next door to K-mart if your into burgers...You can park a bobtail in the K-mart and not get bothered, Fudds is kinda hidden from I-35 it sits back behind the Wells Fargo off the north side service road..

That Chilis in the Wally World plaza is real good also..

Texas Roadhouse?!?! Well that is a step up from the T/A but there are some fine little restaurants downtown. If this CAT hadn't broken one of its claws I would have been down there myself yesterday. Oh well, if things goes as planed I'll be down there Monday night.

Mean while back at the bat cave.....um.........the rat hole they call Dallas is where I still is.:biggrin_25523:
