MitchTazz...Prime trucks have a frontal collision avoidance system that will jam the brakes on if you cut in too close to them. You may want to think about that next time you pass a Prime. The driver does not have any control over whether or how hard the brakes engage and your cutting him off may create a different, but equally dangerous situation. People behind you can wait another ten seconds for you to complete a safe pass.

Even without that system, I get irritated by people who cut back in too quick.

    MitchTazz,

If you're cutting in close enough to activate our collision avoidance system, you're too #### close. That thing isn't set up to be overly sensitive, unless it detects a closing velocity. If it activated the service brakes on the Prime truck, that means that the gap between you and the Prime truck was closing.

You're the captain of your ship, but you might want to think about something here. You said, "i'm not a fan of holding up the left lane;" are you a "fan" of causing a collision with another big truck? So what if the "left lane" gets held up another 3 seconds before getting their next Starbucks? The one day you misjudge that distance is going to be a real biotch!

Maybe you ought to leave say a truck length when coming back in? Just to be safe, ya know...
