What can you find to do in a hotel room for 6 days?

I waited 8 hours for a repair truck to come fix a blown drive tire.
I'm in Walton KY right now. I tried to finish off my drive hours after that 8 but the tired hit me hard the last 40 some miles so I stopped here and crawled into bed. I'll start again after midnight.

The lady I talked with in road maint. apologized profusely when I called her after the first 4 hours had passed. I called in, they said their computers were just coming back up. I sent a macro and then crawled into bed expecting to be woken up by a phone call or QC message. 4 hours later I woke up to nothing so I called in and basically said "wtf? it's been 4 hours." She had just came in to work 2 hours after I called this in and knew nothing about it.

..I was bopping along to a CD of music I haven't listened to in awhile and then BAM!

More salt to the wound: an ABF truck was broke down on the other side of the interstate. His service truck showed up long before mine did. I think we need a new vendor in that area.....

Find it funny that all you can do is throw low blows about whom my company is leased on to. Why don't you just put your finger-less gloves on grab your wallet chain and go crawl back into the hole you came from. your the one being a Jerk and need to chill out.

I did pass a couple Pammy trucks kinda fast and turned them around, after I went by one I flip the letters on the door and now it reads MAP

Spent my weekend at TA and Flying J.... there were 3 other co-workers there. One was a 50 yrs veteran driver who said he had enough, not enough miles and money any more with the eletronic log and will retire within 8 months. Another one was a trainee who said was repented of coming to this company.... Got a chargeable while making a turn... while his trainer was asleep in the bunker.... I got tired of staying there so came to shipper where I'm picking up in the morning. There are 7 docks all inside the building with iron posts on each side of them, looks like only one or two are used. But the room in front of the docks is almost the same lenght of the truck.... I had to do a blind side alley dock, took me 30 mins to back truck onto one of them... But not sure they are using that dock though... Will find out tomorrow morning.... If I have to move to the next dock.... OMG!! It may take 30 more mins.... or even more.... specially if there are people watching me... That makes me nervous... After 3 years driving I'm still not a good backer...

 

Crawfish Town USA in Henderson La. Its the first exit going west after you get off that long bridge on I 10.
Bottom of the ramp make a right (north)on hwy 347 go about a half mile and its on the right, restaurant looks like a red barn, They have truck parking but it can get tight at times. ##### good crawdads get the mild spice.
