Home, waiting for day driver to get the truck back, then deliver load I had Saturday. Couldn't load front two axles to get legal, had a checkvalve go out on the suspension. Way over on the drives.

This coolant thing started rather suddenly about three days ago. It never used coolant until then. I don't smell diesel in the coolant. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out where the two fluids come in contact with each other. I always thought they were mutually exclusive systems.
Guess it's a good thing I'm not a mechanic. If/when these guys figure it out, I will post the results. -
I'm no mechanic either, but my money is on the EGR cooler or a head gasket.
I'd like to know what the problem may be.Injun Thanks this. -
coolant and oil is more common because you have the oil cooler and the head gaskets.. but my oil isn't milky white.. but you can get coolant in your fuel if you have that fuel filter with the heater option.. it uses the coolant to keep the fuel warm.. but i dont think my truck has that.
Injun Thanks this. -
Dont know about Cummins but with with a Cat you can get fuel in the coolant from the injector cups in the head or the inline fuel heater, but not many trucks have these anymore.

I did a blot test on the oil. There was no coolant spread on the paper towel. Well. On my way in, we're taking the bike. Take a nice little putt on the way home.
