    So tell us, you experienced, smart veteran driver, what do you do to prevent thieves from stealing your truck... if you do anything at all....

    You said it right. I know very well these thieves can start a truck even without key but whatever I can do to delay them, I will surely do. :yes2557:

    He don't have to do nothing. Theives take one look and figure I'd be a sin to steal from someone that ugly.

    I was locked out of my truck once. I only had one key, and it was in the ignition since the truck was running. I jumped out to do a walk around, and when I slammed the door shut, it locked itself. I've had this happen with a couple different trucks, one a Prostar, the other a Volvo. After the first time, I learned to always keep a key in my pocket, even if I'm just getting out to look while backing. I guess the lock mechanism gets loose sometimes, and the slam of the door is enough to cause it to lock.

    Well,hell Rocks,I am driving a truck BECAUSE I learned at 17 yrs old I did not have what it takes to "make it" as a career criminal,however,if I would have known trucker's would just leave their doors open..:biggrin_2556:and if their wallet would be inside..certainly the address on there,well,the doors must surely be open there too...As if we want to get in;we will anyway..

    ####...I guess I picked the wrong career after-all..:biggrin_25525::biggrin_2559: (Hours sure would be better stalking truck stops)-rather than driving to one.

    Love these Pete door locks. They cant be lock if the door is open, and the electric door locks have to be push down to lock'em. To help prevent someone from using my truck without my permission I code in my Cat messenger ID and the engine wont start, even coded while idling 800 rpm is max.
    For the trucks that have the small door glass on the passenger door....just pop it out and let your self in. A screwdriver and a little oil and it will go back in place.
    Mine are too, I were a size 16 shoe.:biggrin_25525::biggrin_2556::biggrin_25523:

    We remove the steering wheel.....:biggrin_2559:

    So you're saying you wasn't smart enough to be a career criminal but you're dumb enough to be a truck driver....?:biggrin_2554::biggrin_25522:
