    Today I arrived to my consignee up in MI only to find out we overbooked the freight today. So sitting there waiting to get unloaded was a 9am appt, an 11a appt, tomorrow's 9am appt and tomorrow's 11a arrived at 5a today, dropped and hooked to the only empty they had and took off.

    Went to pick up my next load only to find out it was 1 piece of freight. I sent a message to dispatch asking "We in the LTL business now?" Apparently this shipper has done this 3 times now: booked an LTL load with a truckload carrier. Doesn't bother me, I'm getting great fuel mileage this trip! The WV turnpike is going to be a breeze tomorrow. Can't wait!

    At an emergency parking shoulder on a major hwy in OR...... I am sooo mad :biggrin_25510: For the first time I'm trying to take my 10 hr brk on a place like this..... Had planned to park at rest area (and I generally go to DOT website when I plan my trips to make sure the rest area is open) but this time I didn't. And it seems the darn place has been closed and abandoned for years.... I didn't even see any rest area..... just a blocked ramp and nothing else. No place to park, had only 7 mins left... kept driving, going up and down this huge hill full of curves.... and this freaking elog gave me one min violation! :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510: I parked at first emergency area I found on the shoulder of the road. I know it's not safe.... but here I am.... and I am praying that nobody hits the trailer.
