Flying J off I295 ex2 in NJ... left the house monday morning and loaded paper in Palatka, Fl and been trying to make my way to Mass ever since.. was burning through through MD trying to get across the Del bridge and another Knight driver asked why i was in such a hurry, i asked him how often he came to the NE and he said it was his first time.. told him if he didn't have a more then six hours left on his 11 then he might want to hurry to a truck stop cause they'll all be full by seven.. another driver asked him if he noticed the "end of day" traffic in Baltimore at 3:30pm. He didn't know that was the reason traffic was so bad, he thought there was a wreck and they had cleared it up before he got to it.
on a side note i learned that there's a scale on the opposite side of the toll just right before you leave MD headed north, AND also that if you're in the left lane crossing the scale, it end while you're in that curve that takes you back to the interstate.. found all of that out the hard way, and i'm happy i'm loaded with toilet paper instead of roll stock. they need to put reflectors on the road, or repaint the lines, or put merger signs on both sides of the road so both lanes can see them.. one driver suggested just tearing the whole scale house down.
