...then there are just some things you do NOT want to understand or even know about!

Maybe for you it is, but I like having a CDL and I like being leased onto a company on good standing. And, since I have this electronic tattletale, supertruckin can get me shut of both. Not worth it.

Day 5 in Bend/ WA state @ TA off I-90 exit 34 in pre-apocalyptic scenario back-to-back snowstorms.... 15 power stations out in the area, about 4 foot of ice in the parking lot.... no power in the truckstop means no hot water no showers no laundry nobody can get fuel the restaurant is closed you can buy chips, cookies & cigarettes in the store but CASH only cos the ATM's not working.... they finally had plow trucks coming over last night to pile up a mountain of snow but trucks are still chaining up just to leave the parking lot.... the truckstop has a couple diesel generators running for the light in the halfway empty shelves but it's just a matter of time when the generators will end too cos you can not pump diesel into the generators.... we stocked up on turkey sandwiches, milk & tea and wait this out.... reminds me of Eastern Europe in times of the cold war

I'd bet BW9 has some great stories to tell, and he seems like an interesting person. Glad you got to visit with him, Ms Giggles and CB. Having friends can take away from the hurt of missing out on special occasions. I'm so sorry you'll miss seeing your daughter graduate, but I'm sure you'll be there in spirit, and she will feel your presence.
Wish I was there. My parents live west of the Springs, off 50. Little town called Cotapaxi. I haven't been out there in about 7 years.
Did you get lost on the way to Peru
Excited for both of you. I hope it all works out for the best and you're both content with the change. When will CB have to leave, and how often will he get home? -

I'm heading that way myself in a very short time. G'night Giggles, get plenty of snooze

Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
Laredo. My dispatch said I was to drop the load at the Celadon yard. So I show up with about 20 minutes left on the tattletale and drive into the inspection bay. Drive back out with about 10 minutes left on the tattletale. Bring paperwork inside to window. Then I'm told to take the trailer to a broker. I ask if the broker is open tomorrow since I can't go anywhere tonight. Answer-no.
Back out the truck. 3 messages later, they say to go check with dispatch here in Laredo. So I go back in and tell the man no one in Indy will make a decision, and so it's up to him. Fortunately, he took the load off me, and so now I get to go to bed. FINALLY!
I really feel like I'm back at Swift with all these shenanigans. Mega-carrier-itis.
