Ya know, the more things change the more they stay the same. I got taken off the New Boston load. The shipper was rigid about the pickup time and I couldn't make it...mostly my fault (newbieitis and such) and those wonderful directions we get over the QualCom. But mostly me nevertheless. Sooooooooo, since the last time I posted here I've done a couple more loads in......."Can I see a show of hands?" No, not Laredo, but, yes, TEXAS. Oh well, lemons-to-lemonade. I did a couple of shorties that paid well, got paid for a driver "tailgate" assist (didn't touch a thing), and now, believe it or not, I'm out of Texas and in Louisiana. But just barely (rest area/welcome center just over the line). Headed for McCalla AL in the a.m. with a load of ceramic tile. It's not due to deliver until Saturday morning but I'm gonna show up with it early tomorrow afternoon.

I was in Texas for over 2 weeks and I've started to grow kinda fond of the state and her folks. Even the shippers/receivers seem to be nicer than some I've run across (only "across" because I missed!) Even so, I'm looking forward to what comes after McCalla. Don't matter, just load it and point me in the right direction!
