Nah....that big ol' boy in the sweats leaning on the fuel counter at the Pilot had the biggest moon in the last thousand years, easy!
otherhalftw Thanks this. -
at what time? on the east coast that is...
American TruckerFloTheWaitress Thanks this. -
I'm glad I had already swallowed my water before I read this

Should be around 9:30ish east coast time. Supposed to be about 10:30 central. I'm trying my best to stay up that late so I can see it.otherhalftw and 48Packard Thank this. -
The nerd in me can't let this go unremarked. The moon will only be 1% bigger than when it was full last month. In fact, from closest to farthest there is only a 14 % difference in size, which most people have a hard to detecting because it is very hard to judge the size of something w/o a reference point. It's the same old garbage of the media hyping something totally unremarkable because they are idiots.

Yeah, I didn't realize there wasn't that much difference in the size, until I looked it up and was reading about it. It's 15,300 miles closer than normal, which in the big universe picture, isn't that much. Still, I love a full moon (in the sky, Pack)
FloTheWaitress and 48Packard Thank this. -
Aw...that's right, was it last night or tonite the super moon was visible? Dang it, I think it was last nite. Yeah everyone loves South Dakota and not North Dakota lol.
Well enjoy the full moon no matter where ya are, I say.

It's tonight, and I just looked out. It doesn't look much different than any other full moon. I enjoy driving to work when there is a full moon; it's like having a halogen headlight in the sky. They really reflect when there is snow on the ground. Ah, snow. I'll take it over the heat and humidity any day.
One of these days I'll make it to ND. There are still a lot of states I haven't been to.
NDBADLANDS Thanks this.
