I drove a whopping 235 miles today. Got out well away from IAH but without the trailer so the fuel didn't kill me.
At 4:15 I hadn't even gotten to the place I KNEW was gonna take too long. They wanted a 5pm cutoff run and I didn't even make SDV until 5.
I had a pretty good check. But I gotta ask a few questions about a few entries.
I show one ticket to be 11# from SDV to the airport. They paid WAY too much for it! -
We have Peoplenet. Out of hours, drove right up to my 11 & 14. Already checked to see if I could do some adjustment to my log, but nothing. Company was recently audited because of HOS violations. Owner is real, real, real picky on this now.
No such thing as using the truck as personal conveyance, and the way we're dispatched, I was already under dispatch for the next morning. So even if we're close to home, tough, you must stop. -
So, to paraphrase the old Mounds/Almond Joy ads....
"Sometimes you make it to the hut....sometimes you don't".
(sorry.....)Giggles the Original, Eaton18 and teddy_bear6506 Thank this. -
Hubby's back door exam went great. He was given the all looks good and sent home. Since he did so well, and he's stuck home all day alone, with no vehicle, I got him the big screen TV he's wanted for 20some years. Now it's back to work for me tomorrow to help pay for it...LOL.
I'm as bloated as a toad, and can't get enough to drink. Maybe one more glass of water then I'm off to nighty night land.
NDBADLANDS and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
If you thought my comments about Eaton's post were bad, you should hear the ones I'm holding back for THIS post!
....bloated toads and back-door exams....bad visuals as I hit the sack....
teddy_bear6506 and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
I had carne asada for supper. It wasn't bad, just eh. The pina colada was well needed.
I drove a whopping 160 miles today and am working my 34 hour reset.
I had 3:30 hours on the 70 hour clock and got home with 12 minutes to spare.teddy_bear6506 Thanks this.
