Hot Louisiana... Thermometer shows 114 outside... this may not be right... Not idling, windows open, it's really hot inside this truck but I'll survive... Soon will bathe myself with some icy cold water from my cooler... that will be refreshing... for a while. Got here last afternoon. Was going to park at truck stop across from hwy but there's a casino right there and IMO, where there's a casino, there are gamblers, alcoholics... I may be wrong.... Anyway, I decided to come to this other truck stop across from that one. No casino here, just an old restaurant, the parking lot is bigger but the place is ugly, and there's strong smell of bacon in the air all day long... Leaving tomorrow to TX and then to somewhere else in TX and then to WI... That will be cooler...

 

Girl, I don't know how you can handle that kind of heat without A/C. I'd be cooked to well done in no time flat. You are one tough little gal.

 

I spent 2.75 hours at the Port of Houston Manchester Terminal. I had to shut the truck off for cargo inspection and again for unloading. Both times I popped some sweat!

Dispatcher Anthony said he wouldn't send me there again, as it wastes too much time. Apparently there were a couple at SDV that are now on me for the morning.

 

Motel tonight.....Carlisle, PA. We'll see what happens to the AC tomorrow....

 

Ummm..BACON. Rocks,I have to tell you something..It may be a degree or two cooler in WI- But it is HOT HOT HOT there this week too.! Don't buy any cheese as the cows there are VERY unhappy right now. And the mosquito's are as big as Crows..And hungry too... I saw this big ol' boy get bit by two of em before I left..And he's 200lbs lighter now. Really. REALLY.
