Puuuleeeease. I did my AIT at Ft Benning,GA and hung out at Ft Bragg,NC for 2 1/2 years.I do not know what their lifespan is but they are getting married and raising a family.(s) "Gasoline" does not work..
Will try Kerosene. Their seems to be no shortage of people who either want to inflict or see me in pain,so there should be no problem in that regard.
CondoCruiser Thanks this. -
Left OKC at 11am. Stops in Chickasha & Lawton, then final out in Dallas. Supposed to final out tomorrow morning and reload. Got it done and am reloading now. Should be done just in time for rush hour to be letting up.

Back home, will be going back to Mcpherson in the morning.
Day started out late. Had to get truck lubed, tarp moved forward, oil changed, so all that put me way behind. However that's not the worst. Took load of screenings to Mcpherson, and while the bed was in the air, I lost the hydraulic hose. Luckily it was a small hole. Fluid spraying out, so I put the bed down before it blew apart. Still had material in the bed. Called dispatch to see where I could get it replaced. He sent me to the John Deere dealership. Well, you would think they would be able to, since they have all these farm tractors and implements. Nope, had to go down the street to the Dixon lawn mower dealership. He was able to make a replacement hose. Got it put on, went back to finish dumping, and discovered my airline for the vibrator was leaking badly, so the vibrator would not work. That left me to shovel out the rest. No biggie, just 1/2 ton.
Got that off finally, took about 2 hrs, then went down the road, loaded soybeans, and hauled it back to Bunge in Emporia. Went to the shop, go the vibrator fixed, and now I'm ready to roll again.
Talked to my dispatcher and found out that my problems were not that bad. He had a few trucks that had loaded Kiln dust, got all the way to where they were to dump, and were told that it had been cancelled. The idiots neglected to call our dispatcher and inform him. They cancelled the dust last Friday. Oh and then one of the senior, veteran, elite drivers, laid his trailer down. Yep, one of the end-dumps got tired and laid down. So as he (dispatcher) said, Was a typical Monday. If it could go wrong it did. -
IP, I'm a fun 4 wheeler. I know my place on the highway...LOL. I'll be the first to admit I'd much rather drive in the early morning hours when there is less traffic to deal with. My perfect hours for work would be about 0500 to 1300.
Gasie, did you ever get some sleep?
AZS, have you thought about getting the dispatchers home phone so you can check in every couple hours with your updates
My drivers have been screwed around again all day today. Shipper had to live load most of their loads, then the consignee was having to live unload. These are all supposed to be pre-loaded trailers at the shipper, and DNH to an empty at the consignee. I don't even ask the boss what I should do, I just email the consignee and tell them the loads are late, why, and they'll have to find another carrier to take the loads that weren't ready in time.
AZS Thanks this. -
