C'mon,C'mon,Cmon..New Ulm and Mankato have plenty of mid-size Trucking companies looking for dispatchers, and some even say they will treat you like family...Although this has never impressed me much,as I am from a rather large family and the only two I get along with are my Dad and one of his dogs.
Oh yeah..Burlington,WA I is..I think(?) Therefore I am.

I've always been taking "hometime" in Chattanooga, TN where the main terminal is so they can work on the truck. Will check in an extended stay hotel for a week. May have to go to Atlanta, Ga for some other business...teddy_bear6506 Thanks this.

LOL... Saw one night a driver entering rest area, he couldn't stop, ran through the parking spot and ended up in the picnic area stuck between a sign and a trash can....
He was a foreigner, maybe east Europe... and I could hardly understand his English.... He said he lost his brakes... Well, considering it had been snowing and the ground was very icy, I think he didn't realize how fast he was going and slid all the way to the grass... I helped him to move the heavy trash can so he could get unstuck and drive around the picnic area and leave... Another driver got out of his truck and took pictures....

I'm at this small truck stop in NC. Their ladies restroom is nice, lots of old pictures on the wall, kinda vintage decoration. I p/up at this customer today in a town they said it used to be the biggest furniture manufacture of the "world" and now most of the furniture business have shut down, lots of people lost their jobs... most jobs moved overseas... It is sad... The huge manufacturing plant where I went today looks like it was very busy in the past but now it looks rusted, run-down, empty.... sad... Times have definitely changed... I call it the decay of America....
