A little better?... It sounds pretty good... a room, AC, TV, nice food... Oh well... Hope your day tomorrow is even better than today...

 

I'm at a rest area in Florida, I-10 west. Have been almost a couple hrs here and already saw 4 trucks being "escorted" here by highway patrol... And officer spent some time with each one of them... Found me a very nice place to park, easy way out... Windows open, enjoying the nice breeze... Did my PTI... now doing my paperwork in the sleeper berth instead of in the driver's seat... officer is right next to my truck.... Officially I'm on sleeper berth time.

 

Pack, you're having an awful time with that truck. I can understand your frustration. Do they have lemon laws for big trucks? Sounds like yours might fall under the law. Hope it gets better for you.

Pete, glad to hear you're enjoying the down time. The food sounds yummy.

Rocks, seems you've found another good spot for sleeper time. Bet the other drivers were proud of having their own escort. What happens if they escort them someplace and there isn't any place to park?

Anybody hear from Bumpers? He seems to have gone AWOL and he didn't tell us where he was going to hide.

This week is going by fast for me. 10 hour days, and no time to think about what time of the day it is. In fact, 1430 sneaks up on me before I know it. That's the time I wish I had about 2 more hours to work. I'm learning that dispatching is easy, but that figuring out who has the hours to do what loads isn't easy at all. The boss and the drivers have been a really big help to me and the boss thanked me today for all the long hours and hard work I've been doing this week. He said he had good intentions of getting up and coming in early each day to help me, but he hasn't reached his goal yet. It's cool with me; he's there to help me out when things start getting hairy.

I'm off to visit my sleeper, also. 0100 will be here before I know it.
