Same, I had half a can of bud when wife took me to get the truck from the shop. Got back to the house and finished the can. I'm not sending my "ready for dispatch" message until before they leave, the minute before to piss them off with layover.

If there's a vehicle on the shoulder I move over if possible, if not I slow down and ride the zipper. I've also been seeing that this is becoming more of the norm for almost all big trucks. It shouldn't require a law mandating you exercise courtesy, and use common sense.

Back home, and shouldn't be. Was suppose to load rock out of Lebo for Great Bend, then wheat at Stickney for KC, BUT the Tractor Protection Valve went out on my tractor. So it's in the shop, and will not be fixed until after the quarry closes. So I get to do the run tomorrow.

This sounds like me at my current job. Last Tues they called and said can you come in. My answer was I was out of town. I was 3 miles from the house fishing.

There's damage to my truck, on the pass. side of the bumper it looks like someone hit it really hard with a basketball, but behind the bumper the bracket that holds it to the frame is bent. I talked to the insurance guy today, he and safety both said they're going to treat it as a hit and run for now since the vehicle that i hit drove off.. but they're waiting on the troopers accident report to come in.. I about 10hr away from the house and home time, so once i get this load off i'm headed to the terminal and talk with safety and the shop to see what they can do about that bracket.. Truck still runs like a demon so i'm not too bothered by that.

    Rocks Thanks this.
