Well I thought I was going to load wheat at Stickney for KCMO. That was changed to loading soybeans at Larned for Bunge in Emporia. I thought yipeee, get to be home again......WRONG... There were 3 of us that loaded the soybeans, only 1 load was accepted, and not mine!! :biggrin_2552: Yep got rejected, said it was FM47 (I guess that's Foreign Material 47), anyway had too much crap like wheat, corn and dirt. So I got to haul it right back to Larned. Spent Thursday night in Wally World parking lot, Great Bend, then went to the elevator in Larned on Friday morning. Should have been a 30 min MAX stop. Nope, they're not setup for End-Dumps. Took 2.5 hrs to dump.

So now instead of loading at Stickney I was sent back to Otis to load wheat for Bartlett in KCKS. I preferred this anyway. Well that didn't even want to go well. I discovered in the morning that I have a chunk of tread missing on my Left-Inside dual of my lift-axle. Oh well as long as the tire holds together, which it did. Oh that's not all. Just prior to leaving Larned, my AC/Def blower motor quit. I pulled fuses hoping that was it... NOT!! So I got to listen to the wind blowing. If I had the windows closed, it got real warm, real fast. When I get close to Topeka, it's looking like it could rain, so I pull up the weather radar, yep raining in KC area. No biggie right??? WRONG... after unloading in KC, I'm heading south on I-635, in heavy traffic. It's Friday, around 4pm, holiday weekend. I look down and notice the indicator light on my marker-lights switch is flashing on and off then staying off. Look in my mirrors, and yep, the lights are doing the same. If it wasn't raining, I'd just shut them off. Oh it's not the pigtail, as the marker lights on the tractor are doing the same.

Long story short, after stopping on the shoulder checking the pigtail, I have no choice but to keep going. I stop in Gardner at the Wal-Mart, pull the panel where the switches are, but can not get it to stop doing this. I did find that it must be a short, or loose wire, by kicking the panel where the fuse box is. So anyway drove back to the yard, kicking the crap out of that panel all the way.

When I got about 10 miles away from the yard, it wasn't raining, so could shut the lights off, go figure!!

Suppose to do the Hartford to Newton or Hartford to Hutch run on Tuesday. Yep, we don't run on Labor day. Always puzzled me, Labor day is a day you don't do labor. Only in America. However I won't be going anywhere until they get my truck fixed. Looking at the positive side, I'm thankful that my windshield wipers didn't stop working, that the wheels didn't fall off, the engine didn't blow up, and we were not nuked by our allies!! :biggrin_2559:

On the beach between Lincoln city and Newport Oregon . Taking a reset after going like hell for the last week. Haven't even had time for TTR lately. Been go go go! Might go for a stroll along the beach later and enjoy the last warm days of summer. Fall is definitely on its way , then my favorite season .....winter!
