Anybody else having problems with FedEx ??
Twice on the way down here I about got my hood chopped by a set of doubles as I was about to pass in the hammer lane, one flash of the signal and over they both came....I can remember being taught years ago your arse stays in that right lane unless the truck aproaching in the hammer lane flashes you over ---->>> gone are those days..
I guess FedEx has lowered their hiring standards like everybody else in this industry....
In Jax, FL at the moment getting ready to proceed toward the Big O....[[rant over]]
Where are you

Estes is almost as bad, sometimes they don't even use the blinker...
And it's an O/O driving his OTR truck.Flip Flops Thanks this. -
For some unknown reason...FedEx has trimmed their sails out here on I-5....the problem children now are Oak Harbor and SAIA....UPS seems to be beginning to push the rules a little now and then.

fed ex drivers are idiots.....(most of them)
Flip Flops Thanks this. -
Giggles and CB, you guys have a 5th wheel? That's awesome! I, one day will buy one. That will be my home away from the truck...
Oh, cooking in a real kitchen, with running water, counter, real refrigerator... What a difference that makes... When I cook in a real kitchen I feel like a chef and can cook real nutritional meals, no can food...

Well... I am back in New Orleans. Walmart didn't need me today and I needed to do my groceries, rest and reset. Now I am at a truck stop... maybe the only free truck stop in New Orleans. There's a casino, a Huddle's House (that closes from 22:00 to 7:00) and a convenience store which is open 24 hrs. The rest of it looks like an old and abandoned warehouse. There was one truck when I got here. Parked next to him and he moved somewhere else... Thought I wouldn't have any other "neighbor" but a Schneider just arrived... But the driver left.... Temp inside here must be in the 100's cause I am perspiring... Didn't want to idle but it's very uncomfortable... Two mosquitoes got in while I had the windows open...
Well, will have to shut truck down soon cause my fuel gauge is low.... couldn't fuel today... exit to Pilot on I-10 was closed due to flooding. Tried to call but I think their phone is not working.... busy all the time. There's still a lot of places without power around here.... Many folks are using generators... This truck stop is out of ice... At least they have power, restroom, and a faucet outside.
I filled my gallon with water, put my bikini on, went to the back of the truck where nobody could see me, and took a "shower". May have to do it again several times tomorrow, with soap... Haven't had a real shower in a bathroom in 3 days... Will also wash some clothes in my bucket tomorrow and hang to dry in the truck. Picking up load on Tuesday about 15 mins from here and going to Texas.

Don't expect Texas to feel much if ANY different Rocks!

Yes... I know.... But I still prefer this heat to the winter. I hate everything about winter... the cold, the ice, the snow, the short days and long nights, more difficult to find parking, the mess on the windshield, the hazards on the road... it's a constant stress for me... I will never get used to it.
-
FedEx? don't worry bout them, they have about another three, possibly four months before they start setting up temporary terminals in the middle of every snow/ice covered major highway. Jus make sure you have a case of water/capri suns, and some vianna sausages..they waits are never short.
Flip Flops Thanks this. -
personally the saia drivers need to get off the road
i was steaming thru buffalo a while back hammer down and guy yells at me says didnt you see i had my blinker on
i guess i was suppose to back off let him out who knew he then called me names
OMG i was skeered and left the state went right over to PA
Flip Flops Thanks this.
