Hopefully, none of them will do to you what happened yesterday eve. In my rack not quite asleep, when what do I perceive, but a rather firm thump from my rear. I arose in a start and ran to the scene only to discover to my surprise One swift driver backed up to my position firmly affixed to my back end..I ran to his tractor and inquired WTF. He says, "It was only a bump". I stated, "Look MF Ahole I am not a dock!"
He was fortunate. All lights work and there was no discernible damage.
Do they teach that at swift....When backing into a parking spot....continue until you bump....into whatever?

Go down to a Antique shop and buy a old street light, Take the Yellow out and toss it, then attache the thing to the side of your back trailer, leave it stick out about 18 inches or so. Then while the spot is empty behind ya, turn the Green on and as soon as you feel the Bump, flip the switch to Red, They need to know why are against your trailer....

Changed my mind, taking the load to the terminal and taking a 34. Great, 7 pages I have to rewrite because I have been deemed the rescue truck. At least I'm getting paid for this, feel sorry for the poor fellow that had to leave it. Nice trailer, one of the new 53 foot Great Dane's.

At home for now. Getting ready to do the normal Saturday gig. Mail, groceries, lunch, nap. Nothing exciting to tell about this past week. Had a fill in DBL so our boss could finally take a vacation. He spoiled the dispatcher and myself. He bought our lunch Thursday and brought us breakfast yesterday. We both told him he was welcome to come back anytime, and to our surprise, he said he doesn't travel any more, but if the chance to come back to our office arises, he'll be volunteering for it.
