2 stop delivery Sac area, deposit replacement log (office lost it) at W. Sac terminal....buzz down to Flag City for truck wash, 3.5 hours waiting for Comcheck auth, (no wash) float down to Tracy...another 3.5 hour wait for "pre-loaded" trailer...finally get trailer post-pre-loaded a whole of half full...now sitting plum tuckered out at Weed Peeelot...oh yes, quick stop in Corning, got the truck wash!
If this would have been on E-log....I would be back home doing my 10...not in Weed! -
if only i'm so lucky.. it must be nice to be the driver that runs this route on the regular.

I will have been at this income generator 1 year on the 15th. I have definitely come a looooong way, and I feel like I still have a long way to go, which is a great thing.
Please take a moment today to remember those who lost their lives, or have permanent scars, both physically and mentally, from the terror that struck our country 11 years ago.
Dave 1960, FloTheWaitress, Rocks and 2 others Thank this. -
Yes you have TB, and it seems that they need only to tell you that you're permanent, and should.
Unloaded the UREA (fertilizer) yesterday in Clay Center. It took about 3 hrs, since I had 1 truck in front of me. That stuff loves moisture, it chunks up. We had to unload through the grain door, which is a small door you raise up, located in the center of the gate. Now contrast that with the next load of Buildex. I loaded that in Marquette, KS, took it to a mixing strip 9 miles W of Chanute on K-39 Hwy. Buildex is very lightweight. They load it by the amount of cubic yards your trailer can hold, not by weight. Always have the trailer full, clear up to the top, front to back, and still not gross 80K lbs. When I pop the gate valve, it's spills out, and is up around the tires before I can get back to the cab to raise the bed.
I was surprised that my next load would be from the Lebo quarry, which is just a mile from the yard. When I got the Buildex load, I just knew I was heading back to Catoosa, OK with Kiln Dust. However when I was about an hour out from dumping the Buildex, dispatch calls me. Our Peoplenet was down (awe darn), so he told me that I was to load out of Lebo this morning. So getting ready to head out for another day!!
Stay safe, and I agree with TB, take the time to remember those from that horrific event 11 yrs ago..teddy_bear6506 and Dave 1960 Thank this. -
