I'm in Richmond, IN. No empties at the receiver. "Go to their other warehouse", I'm told. I do. Nothing.

"Try here", comes the reply, sending me to another place nearby. Nope.

"Try here", again comes the request, this time sending me an hour away.

"No can do", I say. "That puts me out of range of being able to pick up the load and deliver it on time".

"I voided you off that load. Check with the receiver in the morning.".

All this was after they wanted to put me on a 158-mile load (total) that delivered Sunday night at 2200. Uh, no.

It's amazing how little I now care if I piss them off or not.....

No, I don't slip seat but a lot of what I carry in the big truck, I need to take to the hotel... cookware, pots, food, clothes, papers that I need and stuff I don't want to leave in the truck for a week... the truck will be serviced in the shop and sometimes they don't lock the doors... Actually I am soooo used to move in and out of trucks -as I have already moved into over a dozen trucks in this company - that I already have everything separeated in boxes, well organized and this is a well known ritual for me...
