Monday.. Lebo to Mcpherson with screenings. I had to dig some of it out, stuck along right side of bed. Then on to Marquette, loaded Buildex, took it to Hiatville (Ft. Scott area). Then loaded kiln dust at Chanute, to Catoosa, OK railroad project. Arrived there at 9pm with 15 mins left on the clock. Camped out on road, no more than 75 ft from rail road.
I woke up Tues morning around 2:30 to rain, lightning and thunder. Oh boy, have to drive about 2 miles on muddy, grease road. Well about 4:30 decided to make my coffee. Set my table up in sleeper, got the coffee pot going, and laid back on bunk. I dozed off, woke up it was light out, truck I parked behind on road was gone,, and I hear on the CB, "Hey you might want to go get that other truck, see if you can get him awake". I hurriedly pour my coffee, getting things put away, and guy bangs on the truck, stick my head out of sleeper to let him know I'm awake. This was at 7:15am. Well I wasn't late, the other 3 trucks had just left to go back to where we dump. Really wasn't as muddy, or bad as I would think. Just a couple places you needed to be careful. Actually since experiencing Turpin, OK last week, this was a piece of cake.
Went from there to Port-33 loaded UREA, took to Ottawa, then back to the yard. Had to go back to have tarp repaired. After loading the kiln dust, it separated at the right-rear, the cuff where the crank rod goes through. All the way down to Catoosa, OK, when I met another big truck or hit some bigger bumps, dust would blow out.
Got that fixed yesterday, and this morning getting ready to head out again. Don't know where yet, as dispatcher left the office early yesterday afternoon. Most likely will be to Newton, Hutchinson or back to McPherson.
Where are you
