Remember where I said something about 20:30??? That is exactly when I walked into the house just in time for a dog fight.

My phone stopped getting texts from work. Made the day a bit more exciting....

    Home for, well several days.....
Some bearing is going out in the transmission. It started vibrating in the higher gears (11-13) yesterday. Told the mechanic yesterday and he didn't seem too interested. Well today, after pointing out some broken welds on the under side of the trailer, I told the shop manager that I thought it might be a U-Joint. So he had me pull it inside, and they found that a bearing is going out. So I'm parked until it gets fixed, probably won't be going again until next Wednesday. So I was told to drop my trailer.

Well, our trailers do not have dollies, just lightweight aluminum stands, that has pins. I was having a problem finding a spot where I could get both stands down and pinned. I would lower one, pin it, then the other would be on the ground, but not far enough to pin it. So I would have to raise them, re-pin, move. In the process, I smacked my head on the vibrator. It's mounted underneath, near where the stands are. Well after disconnecting/reconnecting lines, finally when I found a spot, I disconnected all the lines, (both service and emergency, electric, air line for vibrator, electric line for lift-axle), but had a real, real, Dumb-##### attack, and forgot to disconnect the hydraulic line. I mean after all it's the biggest one there, kinda hard to see. So I start pulling out from under the trailer and I hear pop, crunch. Luckily I stopped quick, jump out and see just what the hell0 I've done. I back up, unhook the hydraulic line, and go report what I done. Luckily it didn't damage the hose, just the mounting bracket. Took about 15 mins to repair, but boy did I hear about, and rightfully so.

All that after having to shovel the notorious screenings I hauled this morning. Should have called in sick and just stayed home today....

Aw well....Sunday I deliver in Red Bluff, then truck going in the shop for service, mirror motor, couple lights (flickering), and the best part.....

Student/new hire #2, driving from Mira Loma to Redlands on I-10, took a rock from a dump truck along side (about 6" in diameter)...Student #1, sitting in passenger seat, looked up just in time to see rock hit the windshield.....have you ever seen a guy try to bail out of a truck doing 55, without taking his seat belt off? Took me some time to regain my composure...side was hurting I was laughing so hard!!!!!

got into Sac at 2100, and now home till I leave for delivery 150 miles up the road.
