Where are you

Nope, got those good ole loose leafs. Made it to receiver around 0500, dropped load and grabbed an empty but couldn't leave because I didn't have a signature. It was Canada's ThanksGiving on Monday so no one was there.

Got a sig around 0800 and then went to tank wash, now I'm sittin at border trying to cross. It's backed up and they have us in the staging yard.

I am here now... In front of employee entrance gate to shipper. Gate guard told me it's ok to park here overnight... Will leave this spot before the employees start arriving in the morning and go to truck gate. Hey Dave! Lots of trees here... It's a beautiful view, quiet... There's small gas station a few yards on my left... I can use their restroom, they have big convenience store, nice pizza place, Hardee's across the street... But I cooked my meal in the truck and will have a nice supper later. Will sleep well tonight.... I like that!! I am in NC... Tomorrow will be going to Atlanta, GA...

 

Petro, Little Rock AR - still have an hour to drive, but its been a long day... started yesterday around 2100. Got the truck washed, fueled... that's about as far as I'm getting today.

 

My God... Ironpony... you have been up for 22 hrs?? Are you on some energy drink? Have some good rest...

 

Got naps in between... just not long enough or enough of them!

 

Naps are good.... better than coffee or energy drinks. But there's nothing better than a real restful sleep all night. I hope you are not so exhausted that will find difficult to fall asleep....

 

Thought of you on the way to work this morning, Pete. Got passed by a black or blue (hard to tell in the dark) TA truck. After he got around, I turned my lights off n on to let him know it was okay to get back in the driving lane, and he actually thanked me. There are a lot of drivers that just don't thank you any more. He stayed quite a ways ahead of me until I got to 435 & 87th, then I caught up to him.

Now, it's about time for me to see if my sheets have missed me today. I know I've sure missed them

 

Ontario , California. Had the day off today, greased the truck , cleaned out the cab of all the dirt that the slushy snowy mud had left behind when I came out of Canada a couple days ago and had a real nice supper and a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie with ice cream for dessert. All in all a relaxing yet productive day off.

 

I didn't sit still much today but even at that only have 6 delivery tickets to show for the day. At least 3 of them will pay a bit more than usual.
