Home again for the weekend. Stayed last night at the PEETro, I-70 Salina, KS. Got to shovel 2 loads of screenings yesterday, before stopping in Salina. Went to Leonardville, KS loaded soybeans and delivered them to Bunge in Emporia. When I hit U-77 and K-150 hwys, I had a moderate to heavy rain chasing me. I got ahead of it, and when I arrived in Emporia, I found a long, long line of trucks waiting to unload. Thought I would get soaked, but the rain dissipated. Took 2 hours to get unloaded.

Then pre-loaded with more screenings, man I'm starting to have a real dislike for this stuff. I deliver it Monday morning than on to Clay Center for more beans.

I am not a happy camper... :biggrin_25510: Load planner was dismissed last week and now it is all messed up.:biggrin_25510: This was not a good week... Missed one p/up appointment yesterday, then another load had to be rescheduled to next week (not by company but by me). I had to call shipper and let them know I couldn't p/up today but Monday instead... And a 3rd load was taken off me because of this screw up... Then, delivery appointment wasn't made for my drop and hook this evening... :biggrin_25510:I ran only 1000 miles this week... :biggrin_25510: I think my dispatcher can't handle everything on his own without the load planner. :biggrin_25512: She was the BEST! And was working pretty hard... There will not be any substitute. I think my company wants to do more with less... :biggrin_25510: I wonder if company is paying my dispatcher the same to do twice the work... :biggrin_2552: I am PO. :biggrin_25510: Didn't want to look for another place... not yet. But if this account is going down the tubes like this, I don't want it.
Thanks to the nice guard at Walmart DC, I was able to drop loaded trailer this evening without appointment number and bobtailed out. Nowhere to park within 23 miles... I found a place though, I wouldn't call it "obscure" but "marginal"... It's on US17 FL... only some houses here. I saw this small running down convenience store and a truck parked next to it and I thought, AHA!! That's where I am parking for the night.:yes2557: Bought my milk before they close and now having my supper. Hope tomorrow is a better day and I am in a better mood.

I feel your pain Rocks! I had a good dispatcher at PAM. The one day I get a message saying "I'm your new dispatcher". He wasn't half as good!

I was kind of upset when DJ left the current company. But right now I have Derrick and it will be a REALLY sad day when he goes!

Typical Friday. Got two things off the truck by the hair on my chinny chin chin! But DID get everything off!
    Rolled in about 20:30

Ain't gonna be awake much longer!

    Rocks Thanks this.

Rocks....I just wanted to leave ya a few extra, since you didn't seem to have quite enough! Season it as you please!

I'm just the opposite now....got a great Asset Manager. But, that one lingering question remains....

"How long can this good thing last????":biggrin_25510::biggrin_25515::biggrin_255:
