Yes.... Take it easy tonight.... You will feel better tomorrow.
I remember one of my first weeks trucking, still in training with a company... I smashed my little finger trying to open trailer door.... It was so bad that opened a cut and blood spilled out of it and dripped down my arm... My trainer gave me some antibiotic cream and a bandage. I wrapped that very tightly around my finger and rushed to back the trailer at the dock.... It was aching a lot and I felt dizzy... as I always do when I hurt myself and there's a lot of pain and blood involved....
I had to drive later that day and the throbbing pain was sooooo excruciatingly bad.... I kept my arm up, above my head most of the time while driving.... And thought I was going to pass out behind the wheel... My trainer was right next to me and told me to pull over if necessary. But I didn't. I hang tough there. Later that night I unwrapped my finger and half of the pain went away.... the tightness was causing some of it. Never got any stitches and it took weeks for that to heal...

Rocks Thanks this. -
What?! You drink coffee and don't have a coffee maker in your truck??
-
It wasn't easy.... It may sound silly but I didn't want my trainer to think I was a wimp...

Ok now I understand why you are at White Pine and parked where you are and not on the other side of the interstate where there is a DUNKIN DONUTS!!!! lol

Sorry couldn't help myself!
48Packard Thanks this. -
Well... if the temp is really unbearable in this truck, I do idle. In the winter specially... not only for my sake but for the truck's sake. Don't want to wake up with frozen up truck that won't even start. It has happened before.... Had to ask breakdown to send someone at 1:00 in the morning to resuscitate the truck so I could go p/up a load...
This truck here has a bunk heater but don't want to use it much for it may drain the battery...
My nice dsp has offered me a couple trucks with APUs but they were solo trucks, too small for all the stuff I have and not enough room for my cooking....

I don't drink coffee...
The only thing I "miss" in this truck stop is an outlet where I can plug in my laptop and don't have to use the one in the truck...
-
Can't swear to it--but I am pretty sure--I have seen people across the way with laptops plugged in at the Wendys in there--also--as you walk in from the fuel Island side--directly to the left when you enter is a long counter with seats by the window that has power

There's a McDonald's here. Wendy's is on the other side of the road and there's a WilcoHess there.
I saw a couple of outlets in this McDonald's here but they have cover plates....
The only place I found one was in the laundry room but not much space between the washers and dryers... It's ok... I will need to spend some time reading my CDL book and studying for my Hazmat renewal test....
