I'm at the Pilot in Cayce, SC.

I know I've defended the parking of bobtails in full-size spots if some common courtesy and decorum is observed. But after seeing this place, I may change my mind. Half the dang lot is occupied by bobtails from USX, Werner, and Heartland, thanks mostly to the Home Depot DC nearby would be my guess. But this is insane. You know that some of these guys could make a little effort (ooops...sorry....no four-letter words allowed on TTR!) and coordinate their parking to maximize availability.

But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........more of the same and what has become the norm....

"The Detroiter" truck stop - now sporting the Flying J colors.

Complete with pay-to-park ($10) and a 75 gallon minimum for parking reimbursement.

    48Packard Thanks this.

The Detroiter was terrific in it's day...which was long ago and far away. But ten bucks to park? Glad I don't up there much....thanks for the update.

Next closest option is the Pilot and TA 17 miles south.

Well, I got unloaded at Food Lion in Elloree, SC, and headed over here to the Loves. Got the last open spot. Gonna camp out here until the morning, then head back up to Columbia for two days off. Gotta go see the house wifey has chosen.....yeah, she found one. So it looks like I gotta keep workin'...

But is has a fenced yard for the cats!

That's what I've spent the last couple hours doing, looking at houses. I wanna get moved so badly. Like you, Pack, I'd have to keep working, which is no big deal. I'll be working til they pull my cold dead body out of the chair...:biggrin_25523::biggrin_25521:
