Sheez! Just when I get a good case of "I don't give a dang" built up, it's KA-beep! Going to Milwaukee.

 

3 hrs...?? not too bad... was talking to a truck driver here in Brasil who asked me how many days I had to wait to get loaded/ unloaded (in America)...
Nobody here follows any HOS... they take drugs to stay awake, drive day and nigh because there are almost no places to park and to get to customer as quickly as they can.... but then, they have to wait days...

 

Ohhh... sorry Otter... but I haven't seen a cute picture of you yet... just saying...

 

Here I am, at the computer desk... have 2 mosquito repellent coils by my feet and I am surrounded by mosquitoes... I don't know why I bought this #### again today... it doesn't work...

At 09x this morning I got a dispatch to go to Canrig which is about 20 miles off I-45 on FM1488. I knew then that I would never get there. Too much waiting two times at Panalpina and two times at SDV. At 15:45 I told dispatch I couldn't get there and back to SDV in time.
She said she got it covered, but if that driver wasn't already most of the way there he didn't make it either.

Anyhow home as of 19:05 but dinner and the puter didn't want to play nice earlier...

 

Made it to Columbus, NE, the last hour in pea soup fog. Found out my mirror heaters aren't working. Not that I could've seen anything anyway.

edit: Ok, so I actually talked to the evictor who knocked on my truck and wrote down my truck info (same guy every time I've parked there). Apparently the manager isn't forcing anyone to leave, but if you're parked there at 7am, you have to be awake and either shopping in the store or preparing to depart. <shrug>
