Have to shuttle 2 trailers in Chicago today and then wait until 6 to pick up a load. A lot of time and not many miles will lead to a not very good day.

Tomorrow, get to go sit through a class about how to "properly" drive a truck....getting 2013 Cascadia, DD13, with the "Onguard" system....can these new systems really be that difficult?

Arrive at Long Beach delivery only to be told..."we changed your appointment to 1130"......nobody thought about telling the drive

There are a few expletives covering this scenario!

 

"On Guard" is A major pain in the arse if you like to drive on cruise control. It will detect contacts and slow you down, as it computes. If it is calibrated correctly it is merely aggravating. Out of line, it will pick up guard rails in a turn, or errant 4 wheelers who slam on their brakes as they cross your brow. Did I forget to say, I hate these systems!

 

Well they didn't exactly start out positive at all. They (safety/shop) gave me a CD to watch to get to "understand" the system......durned thing is blank!!!!
