Do you use Windows? If so, open the Help and Support window and type "back up". It will show you how to back up all your files, programs, system, etc. It will also show you how you can set up automatic backups or manually back up your files at any time. Now me, I bought a 1 TB external USB 3.0 portable hard drive just in case my computer dies....

And I also have a flash drive where I save all my important documents, files, pictures, etc...

Ohhhh... thank you for reminding me that I haven't done my paper log for the last couple of days.... I need to do it... It's a pain when it accumulates too many days...

Awakened to 3" of Otter's 34-minute storm this morning. Looked at radar summary (not good,) forecast maps (worse)... Only one thing to do... git the heck outta Dodge! Err... Pratt KS. Wichita was snowmageddon - one big accident - practically cleared up by Emporia.
Booneville MO at the Love's out ahead of the storm. For now. -
Thanks for cheering me up, IP. Loaded in Sioux City, unload/reload in KC, then Dallas via Wichita. Sucks to be me! And yeah, been watching weather all day. FUN!

75 mph average
sure, no problem :screwy:
I'll be heading to Austin tomorrow. Hopefully the run lands on this week's pay. That will give me 4200 miles. If I can get home Saturday night, I can reset Sunday
. I just hope the customer will have an empty trailer for me Friday night.

Any body heading any where in NE, KS, MO, AR, OK, IA, IL (maybe others) please pay close attention to the forecast. I know a lot of areas are calling for heavy snow (8-12" in my neighborhood & the KC area). It's supposed to be at it's worst between 6 and 1500. I'm most likely home until Monday. The boss is going to be the only one in our office tomorrow. He had already told all the drivers he would be in the office alone tomorrow before I even got in this morning. The dispatcher has a laptop and can work from home. I can get web access from my home computer, but I can't access everything needed to be a lot of help. My 3 drivers will stay in touch with me by my cell, and if needed, I can call stores or drivers from home to help the boss. I've never worked for any boss that tells his employees to stay home and he'll come in to work. I'm just glad I now have flex and vacation time.
I really hope the roads out here don't drift too badly or I may not get out of here until Monday.
Rocks, that last photo is awesome and beautiful. You have to be one of the most upbeat positive people I know.
Dave, I wish you would get more runs. You seem so eager to work, but the loads just aren't there to keep you busy.
Everybody out there, be safe, and please, shut down if conditions deteriorate quickly. You all are more important than a load.
Rocks, JimBob24 and FloTheWaitress Thank this. -
nice little hill where 119 meets 421losttrucker and Rocks Thank this.

I ended up with 7 today, which is a far cry from 2 or 3. All I need is something to do....
When i posted from DGM that was my second trip there. As I arrived the first time for something I knew I didn't need the trailer for Dispatch called. When he heard where I was he said "do you have the trailer?" When I said no he said the word for dookie!
And I think and actually messaged that if he would always add dimensions to the dispatch I might have had the trailer after all.
