Very interesting story how those cavern cold storage places were started. Thinking outside the box made that guy very wealthy.

Hey Ol hand, that was a good story, not too many people care to even talk to fellow drivers anymore let alone do something like that for them...

Wausau, WI, waitin' on the 6-10" of snow we're supposed to start seeing later this evening. Fortunately, I deliver a quarter-mile up the road, then I'm coming right back to this little t/s and taking tomorrow off. Been out 21 days with no 34. I won't get one here either, but that much snow with an empty wagon is a good reason to take a day off. Got another 12 out before going home. Wouldn't do this but have an important event scheduled for my next hometime. A real fun one.

It's called "Getting the house ready to be rented out".

Coming through WI last week, I heard a driver on the CB saying that his wife told him she was expecting 6-10" that evening. 6 if he made it home, 10 if he didn't. I'd like to know exactly how him being home or not would affect the amount of snowfall...

I 'm listening to this conference call on the phone for truckers, those in the trucking industry and whoever is interested... it's every Sunday, it's called Sunday Social... for those interested, the number is 805-399-1000 and the access code is 560199# Folks chat about their job or whatever and everybody is free to participate and share.... :biggrin_25519: There were 9 participants when I joined but I haven't said anything yet... Just listening. They are talking about teaming.

Went to Walmart for my groceries, cooked my meal, did my paperwork, my paper log, called my dad in Brasil... I'm at the terminal taking my 34. This is my view right now...

How is your dad doing, Rocks?

We missed the snow it looks like. The I80 corridor isn't looking so lucky. I hope our drivers in that area are safe, but I sure hope it doesn't mean another bad week for us.

WOW!! This conference call on the phone has been going on for about 2 hrs now... Folks were talking about teaming when I joined and I said something... But the conversation has changed to many other things, HOS, load weight... now they are talking about food... I think I will have some fruits with yogurt and honey now.
