I had that problem at a few different houses. Turned out to be the 'anti-backflow' valve. They have a rubber flap that acts as a check valve to let water flow to the sewer system, but closes if the sewer backs up so that effluent doesn't flow back into your house. That flap hardens with age, and will trap solids that come through, effectively 'clogging' it. The flap will need to be replaced, or the entire valve if the flap is no longer available. It will be in the main line to the street, usually accessible in the yard near the foundation, or maybe even in the crawl space under the house. Don't let the plumber snake out the line and call it done, make sure they open the valve up and do it right. Otherwise you'll have the same problem in a month or less. If you feel so inclined, you can locate and fix it yourself for $20 or so, and save a few hundred greenbacks. I usually just remove the flap and close the valve back up.
There's another example on this page.

Nothing special today... dropped one loaded trailer and got a load that was supposed to be for Monday... and now going to Florida. Probably will have to do Walmart store loads this weekend... but hopefully not... Finally the temp is comfortable inside this truck... I'm at a rest area in SC.
Hey Teddy_bear... heard about the heavy snow hitting Kansas this weekend... Hope you guys are not very affected... Actually, there's snow storm almost everywhere in the US... except the very south. Hope you are getting better from that nasty bronchitis. You all stay warm...teddy_bear6506 Thanks this. -
I THINK I did 9 or 10 today. Nothing earth shaking but I did get two entries into a 4th page to turn in when 3 or even 2 pages is the norm as of late....
It wasn't a typical Friday as no one was closing doors as I left.
One go back to get something at SDV made me roll in home about 20:08 -
Lethbridge Alberta . Finally got through the storm that had the highways around Regina and moose jaw closed for a day and a half. Got to lethbridge and stopped for a quick coffee and have got a flat tire. Waiting for a service truck to come change it. Glad I stopped here because I was going to keep going until I got up into crowsnest pass. Would have been a pain to try getting a tire changed up there early on a Saturday morning.

Actually had an appointment with the doc Wednesday, and the lungs are in good condition. Some health issues I'm going to have to deal with, but in the big picture, it's a good thing. I know what I need to do to improve my health and hopefully feel much better. I gave more information over in the "Hijack" thread.
From the sounds of it, there could be anywhere from 1" to close to a foot of snow by the time it ends on Sunday. I'm glad I don't have to work this weekend; if I'm lucky the roads will be in good condition by the time I have to go in Monday. I'm so happy to hear you're heading someplace warm. I know you and the cold don't get along well, and I hope being where it's warmer will agree with you.Rocks Thanks this. -
I think I set a record today. Kenworth set me free at 4:30 this afternoon and I was good to go. 20 minutes latet, after I had left but hadnt even made it back to our terminal I had to turn back around and go right back to KW because my entire dash was dead. I wasnt even there 30 minutes before that problem was fixed though. Yeesh, what a day! That KW rocks though. One of my favorites. But now Im back at the company's home terminal snuggled up in my bunk for bed, listening to them talk about Snowmageddon 2 on the radio.

Oh yeah it was NOT or sumthin--it was/is a medical condition aka:chickentruckeritis--while somewhat rare 2day unfortunately it is immune to most antibiotics etc--seems everytime medical science has it pinned down-Some ag vitamincompany working in conjunction with ADM(trying to better feed the world)comes up with a newer potion to bring cluckers to full growth sooner--and therefore a higher speed chicken feed appears-- it is a vicious cycle--also please do not confuse this condition w/cowmobilerosous which is an entirely different and even more deadly afliction
