I would have loved to, Honey, but I listened to "Honey" and now I'm crying (but not at the bar, nor in my beer)

Almost a week ago I was in snow and ice land, temps below zero... :biggrin_25510: Some of my finger tips are still burnt from the cold... And now... FINALLY! I am in sunny and HOT Florida! :yes2557: Took a nice looooong shower this evening and now feeling all clean, refreshed and comfortable inside the truck... :yes2557: Some here must be using air conditioner... Temp here now is 74F :yes2557:
Extreme heat (like over 90F) can be uncomfortable and sticky. But extreme cold is not only uncomfortable but also painful, very very painful and that's very hard for me to endure...
No load now... taking my 34. WM DC was having a slow day today and didn't need any help with store loads.... THANKS!! They were having some kind of party on the yard. There were Highway patrol cars, Firemen truck, a big playground, lots of food and trucks going between cones on the ground... They offered me some food but I had to go... Did my groceries and now at a truck stop in Fort Pierce. Wanted to take the opportunity to get truck washed.... there's a Blue Beacon right here... But breakdown told me I must take truck to Speedco for a grease job... should have been done 3,000 miles ago.... and then, they will authorize the wash... Well... I guess the poor thing will stay dirty because I don't stop to wash the truck and these opportunities are very rare... once a year or two... So, will wash it myself when I get back to terminal next month...

I'm much better at taking the extreme cold than I am at taking any temps above 70ish. It does my heart good to read that you've found your way to temps that make you feel better. The comfort level of one person is not the same for everyone. For you, Dear Rocks, I hope you stay in the warmer climates where you find comfort.

Hey Rocks , they should be washing the truck FIRST then greasing it. The high pressure washers can blow the grease out of some of the places it needs to be. All that nice new grease will be wasted after the streakin beacon clown hits all the "greasy" spots to make it "clean" ! Some guys even go as far as re-greasing a truck after driving in heavy rain.
I'm along the side of the Columbia River in Oregon.

You know... more and more I don't look forward to "home time"... :biggrin_25512: What is home time when you don't have a home and nobody to see?... And I am getting tired of always taking a bunch of things out of the truck, into the car, stop at the storage, get more stuff, printer, blender, pots, etc, get a room in the extended stay hotel, when they have one available, or go to the other extended stay hotel... set everything.... it normally takes more than half a day for all that. And then, work on my notes for my tax return... other than that... there's nothing else to do during "home time"... Maybe go to a meeting or two to see and be close to some people (strangers in general).... It's good to be in a more spacious room in the hotel, with a bathroom right next to the bed and a real kitchen, and cable TV... but other than that...:biggrin_25513: This is becoming boring... I should look for something that I can call "home" when I take my "home time". Like a trailer or a 5th wheel... There are other important things I need to do but one week off is not enough... and then, I go back on the road for 2 more months... So, until I have figured out my plan of "action" I might as well stay on the road...

Hey kw9's rock, I agree with you... I probably will not have the poor "baby", I mean, truck washed. Tomorrow would be a great day for it... get all this dirt and salt and mud off... but instead, I will just clean the windshield, windows, mirrors, headlights... that's what I normally do. Maybe I find a truck stop that has a water hose and hose if off... Such a new truck and soooo dirty... :biggrin_2557:
