On the street outside Pete's, I mean Johnson's Corner since there is no room at the inn. Further from the curb than I would like but the space was a smidge tight. Trying to decide if I'm going to stay here or drive up to the receiver and park overnight. They are kinda out in the Boonies so I'm sure it would be OK. But what if I don't have cell service and can't talk with you fine people all night?!?

Salina, KS to Denver, CO I got 4.75 mpg. I really hate headwinds.

It's uphill all the way, about 2500' worth.

Edit... oh, yeah I forgot. There's the "ridge country" as my grandpa called it back in the ol' days. It's almost 6,000' just west of Limon, and then drops down to 5200' around Denver.

Some abandoned gas station in Winter Haven FL... the local PEElot was overrun when I got there, so it's creative parking time. Hope the company guy in front of me has an early appointment at the DC...

    Well, there is that too.

But, the signs were lit for a High Wind Advisory and coming across 70, needed about 25-30º of right turn to keep going straight. That really can't be good for your steers.

Even on the flats needed about 30 PSI of boost.

    And tonight, we get snow.

Oops, almost forgot. Went into the bathroom and saw "TA Pete was here" scratched in the wall. I wonder who could've done that?

None of that is unusual. I can tell you of a day that with it floored, I had to drop to 9th just to maintain 45 mph on I80. That's a headwind.

Have no clue what this phrase means... :biggrin_25513: But never mind... This is only one in 1000 phrases... :biggrin_25526:
Anyway, haven't looked thru my window today... Spent all day inside this room, doing paperwork, reading things, printing things and preparing myself for my day tomorrow which is going to be a very very busy day. Taking a shower now before I go to bed.

Over in another thread someone was talking about blowing their fake train horns. IP just kinda ran with in here. Trust me, there's days I go "huh!?!?" When I read this stuff, and I grew up speaking English!
